Summary: Follow these tips to get the most from your hair loss treatments. Understand your hair loss and keep scalp care gentle. Support your routine with good nutrition and make your treatment routine realistic.
———————————————————————————–
Managing hair loss can feel overwhelming, especially when there are countless products, treatments, and routines to consider. But does an effective hair care routine have to be complicated or expensive? Not necessarily. Whether you are exploring an affordable hair loss treatment in Leeds or want to take better care of your existing hair, simple and consistent habits can make your routine easier to maintain. The key is to understand what your hair and scalp need rather than following every trend you see online.
Tips to Support Affordable Hair Loss Treatment With a Practical Hair Care Routine
Understand Your Hair Loss
Take a moment to consider what may be causing the hair loss before changing your entire hair care routine. Hair thinning can be associated with several factors, including genetics, stress, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal changes, illness, or scalp conditions. Remember when you first noticed the change. If shedding is sudden, persistent, or accompanied by patchy areas, seek help from a hair clinic to find out the underlying causes.
Keep Your Hair and Scalp Care Gentle
Once you understand your situation better, look at your everyday habits. Are you brushing aggressively, using high heat frequently, or wearing hairstyles that pull tightly on your roots? Small habits can add unnecessary stress to already fragile hair. Handle wet hair gently, avoid excessive heat where possible, and choose hairstyles that don’t constantly pull on the scalp. If your hair is already dry or damaged, avoid harsh chemical treatments.
Make Your Treatment Routine Realistic and Consistent
Even a hair loss treatment may not be useful if your routine is too difficult to maintain. Before you consider a hair replacement system for men, understand what type of commitment it involves. Always follow the instructions provided for a specific treatment instead of only hoping for faster results. Give your approach time; constantly switching between treatments can make it difficult to understand what is actually helping.
Support Your Routine With Good Nutrition and Lifestyle Habits
Healthy-looking hair is not only about what you apply externally. Your body also needs adequate nutrients to support normal hair growth. Protein, iron, zinc, vitamin D, and other nutrients can play important roles in overall hair health. That doesn’t mean you should immediately start taking multiple supplements. Instead, focus on a balanced diet that includes appropriate sources of protein, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and other nutrient-rich foods.

Introduction to Female Hair Loss
Hair loss isn’t exclusive to men. It’s a silent struggle that countless women face, often behind closed doors. Female hair loss, a topic shrouded in mystery, is finally stepping into the spotlight. This comprehensive guide aims to untangle this complex issue, shedding light on its causes, non-surgical solutions, and the emotional journey it can entail.
The Root of the Matter: Understanding Female Hair Loss
Female hair loss can feel like a cruel twist of fate. One day you’re blessed with a thick, lustrous mane, and the next, you’re watching it disappear. But what’s really happening beneath the surface?
The Hair’s Life Cycle
To understand hair loss, we first need to understand the hair’s life cycle. It’s a bit like the changing seasons:
- Anagen (Growth Phase): This is the summer of the hair’s life cycle, where it grows approximately half an inch per month.
- Catagen (Transitional Phase): As autumn approaches, the hair prepares to shed. This phase lasts about two weeks.
- Telogen (Resting Phase): Winter has arrived. The hair takes a break for around three months before it falls out and a new strand takes its place.
The Causes of Hair Loss in Women
Female hair loss can be triggered by a variety of factors:
- Hormonal Changes: Hormones are like the puppet masters of our bodies. When they’re out of balance, things can go awry, including our hair growth.
- Stress: Ever heard the phrase ‘pulling your hair out with stress’? There’s more truth to it than you might think!
- Nutritional Deficiencies: Our hair needs a balanced diet too. Lack of certain nutrients can lead to hair loss.
- Medical Conditions: Certain medical conditions, like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), can cause hair loss.
Unravelling the Solutions: Non-Surgical Hair Replacement Systems
Now that we’ve dug into the root of the problem, let’s explore the solutions.
Non-Surgical Hair Replacement Systems
Non-surgical hair replacement systems are a popular solution for women experiencing hair loss. These systems involve attaching a thin, light, breathable base, which resembles the scalp, to the existing hair or scalp. The base is infused with human hair that matches the wearer’s hair in terms of colour, density, and texture. The result is a full head of hair that looks and feels completely natural.
Natural Remedies
If you’re more of a ‘green thumb’, there are also natural remedies you can try:
- Scalp Massage: This can stimulate blood flow to the scalp and promote hair growth.
- Essential Oils: Certain oils, like rosemary and peppermint, have been shown to promote hair growth.
- A Balanced Diet: Eating a diet rich in vitamins and minerals can support healthy hair growth.
FAQs
Q: Can hair loss in women be reversed? A: It depends on the cause. Some types of hair loss are temporary, while others are permanent. It’s best to consult with a professional for advice.
Q: How can I cope with the emotional impact of hair loss? A: It’s important to remember that it’s okay to feel upset or frustrated. Seek support from loved ones or a mental health professional if needed.
Q: Can I prevent hair loss? A: While you can’t control all the factors that contribute to hair loss, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help keep your hair in top shape.
Conclusion
Female hair loss is a complex issue with many layers. But with understanding and the right approach, it’s a battle that can be fought. Remember, it’s not just about the hair on your head, but the confidence in your heart. So, keep your head held high, and know that you’re not alone in this journey.
Remember, the first step to solving a problem is understanding it. So, let’s keep the conversation about female hair loss going, and together, we can unravel the tangles of this often-overlooked issue.

There are various reasons for baldness, some of them temporary and some of them permanent. In the United States alone, about 35 million men have experienced male pattern balding alone. Additionally, two thirds of men will have experienced some level of hair loss by the age of thirty-five, usually a receding hair line or thinning on the crown of the head, and by age fifty, 85% of men will have some thinning hair. That doesn’t mean that baldness won’t occur in youth. 25% of the men who experience balding will start noticing hair loss before they’re twenty-one.
Male pattern baldness is one of the reasons you may be experiencing hair loss, but there are also other factors that may be having an influence on your hair loss. By determining the cause, you may be able to prevent further hair loss, or feel you want to look into a hair replacement system. Either way, at New Image Consultants, we will try to make your choice as easy as possible.
1. Genetic factors
Obviously, the most common cause of male hair loss is a genetic predisposition to do so. Various studies show that up to one in seven men have a genetic predisposition to male pattern baldness that can be passed from either side of your family. Male pattern balding occurs when a bi-product of testosterone, called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) attaches to hair follicles and causes them gradually shrink. This in turn causes the hair to become increasingly thinner until baldness occurs as a receding hair line and/or baldness on the crown of the head.
2. Hairstyles and treatments
Hairstyles or treatments that are harsh on hair can contribute to temporary hair loss. Consistent use of rubber hair bands, rollers and barrettes, as well as pulling hair into tight styles (for example, cornrows) can enflame and scar hair follicles. Additionally, the misuse of chemical products, including dyes, bleaches and permanent wave solutions can cause damage, as can straighteners. Whether or not hair loss resulting from the treatment of hair is permanent or temporary depends on the amount to which your follicles are left scarred. When hair can regrow, it may take a couple of years to get to a desirable length, as hair generally grows between half an inch and an inch per month.
3. Illness or surgery
Your body may react to illness or surgery by temporarily ceasing non-essential tasks, including hair production. Specific conditions may also trigger hair loss, including thyroid disorder, syphilis, iron deficiency, lupus or severe infections. Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune condition, may also cause permanent, widespread and rapid hair loss all over the body.
4. Medication
You may find that whilst an illness doesn’t influence hair loss, some medication you’re on may do so instead. The most obvious treatment that can cause hair loss is cancer chemotherapy, which attacks hair follicles in its attempt to kill all fast growing cells in the body. Medications that treat high blood pressure and gout are also known to contribute towards hair loss. As well as this, there are links between excessively high levels of vitamin A and hair loss.
5. Nutritional deficits
Heavy dieting, or eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia can temporarily stun hair follicles into ceasing growth, meaning that once your protein, mineral and vitamin levels increase, growth should resume.
6. Stress
A stressful event, such as divorce or bereavement, can cause the body to trigger hair to enter its resting period, and subsequently fall out a few weeks later. Doctors generally believe that it’s the body’s way of taking ‘time out’ whilst addressing bigger issues. In the majority of cases, once the root of your stress has been sufficiently addressed, hair should resume growing normally. As with any regrowth, however, it will take time for your hair to reach its normal length.
Treatments and medications for regrowth
Traditionally used by the film and TV industries to present a character as incompetent, ridiculous and vain, hair loss treatments have traditionally had somewhat of a bad reputation. However, in 2009 the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) conducted a survey to establish whether balding treatments were easily noticeable. They found that when presented with a line-up, three-fifths of participants couldn’t tell which person had undergone treatment to hide baldness.
Hair loss solutions range from mild to extreme, and can range from relatively inexpensive to costly, depending on which method you decide to follow. As well as this, the cost will take into account how much hair is lost and to what extent you wish to conceal its absence or replace it. There are a few options, that all have their pros and cons for you to consider.
1. Anti-inflammatory medications
If your hair loss is due to your hair follicles being enflamed and damaged by harsh chemicals or excessive pulling, you may be prescribed steroid based creams or injections.
2. Transplants and grafts
When you have an (often expensive) hair transplant, you will have healthy hair follicles removed from a donor area of the scalp, usually from the back of the head. They will then be grafted to the bald or thinning areas of your head. The procedure is conducted under local anaesthetic and involves the use of a specialised punch device. After the procedure, you’ll have to wait for regrowth, and whilst the results should be permanent, there may be cases where this is not the case. Scalp reduction is another option, where the bald skin is removed from the scalp, so that the scalp covered by hair can be stretched to fill in the bald areas, however this results in swelling, bruising and discomfort.
3. Non-surgical hair replacements
Non-surgical replacements including wigs, hair pieces and hair systems are one way to mask hair loss. Hair systems in particular are making breakthroughs in ensuring discretion is maintained, and offering a natural look to the men who use them. By utilising a ‘second skin’ technology that bonds with the scalp, you can choose natural or synthetic hair to be bonded individually to the second skin, offering a full and natural looking hair style, without the pain and uncertainty of surgery or medications. I got told once as a child that if I didn’t have something worth saying, I simply shouldn’t say anything at all. This is definitely something which more people should go by, judging by all the misinformation which exists in the industry of hair loss treatments, especially when it comes to celebrity gossip and journalism.
A prime example of this came recently, when a journalist for The Express reported that a “leading surgeon and hair loss expert” has said that it looks like Prince Harry is going bald, in much the same way as his brother and father have done before him.
Not only does that hardly classify as news, there are some things in the article which are simply incorrect. The surgeon said that Prince Harry’s only long term option would be to get hair transplant surgery. He also mentioned the use of Minoxidril, which is a chemical mousse applied to the areas where the hair is thinning.
Unfortunately for the young Prince, the chances of him losing his hair are reasonably high; about 30% of men suffer from hair loss before they are thirty, and this figure rises among men with bald relatives. Given that Prince Charles and Prince William are both prime examples of traditional male pattern baldness, it doesn’t seem likely that Harry will escape with a full head.
When it comes down to it, the suggestion that a surgical hair transplant would be the only option is simply ridiculous. It’s certainly one of the options, but not a great one, for several reasons.
- They don’t give you more hair, just rearrange the hair you already have
- They aren’t instantaneously effective, and it’s obvious if you’ve had one
- They’ll leave you with scarring
- Basically, if you’re thinning across your entire scalp, you’re unlikely to be a good candidate for hair transplant surgery, because you need to have enough donor hair to move to the areas which are thinning. If anything goes wrong you could lose the hair you’ve got left, and even if everything goes alright there’s still a 20% chance that the transplant won’t take.
- It’s also a painful procedure, and can go on for hours. You’re also left with swelling and discomfort for weeks, possibly even months after, not to mention the scarring.
What it comes down to is that hair replacement systems are the way to go. They are undetectable, both to the touch and to the eye, quick, easy, painless, and much more affordable than transplant surgery. They also have a multitude of benefits over traditional hair pieces. Non-Surgical Hair Loss Solutions
Hair loss is a common issue that affects millions of people worldwide, with various causes, such as genetics, hormonal imbalances, or medical conditions. Fortunately, non-surgical hair loss solutions offer a practical and effective alternative for those seeking to restore their full head of hair. At New Image Consultants, we specialise in non-surgical hair loss treatments to help you regain your confidence and natural appearance. In this blog post, we will discuss the five key benefits of non-surgical hair loss solutions and why they are an excellent choice for those experiencing hair loss.
1. Minimally Invasive and Painless
One of the primary advantages of non-surgical hair loss solutions is that they are minimally invasive and painless. Unlike surgical procedures, which often involve incisions, sutures, and lengthy recovery times, non-surgical treatments, such as hair replacement systems, are non-invasive and pain-free. This means you can enjoy the benefits of a full head of hair without the need for surgical intervention or the associated risks and discomfort.
2. Immediate Results
With non-surgical hair loss solutions, you can expect to see immediate results. Hair replacement systems from New Image Consultants are custom-designed to match your hair colour, texture, and style, providing a seamless and natural appearance. Once your hair system is securely attached, you can enjoy your new look right away, without having to wait for months or even years to see the results of a surgical hair restoration procedure.
3. Cost-effective
Non-surgical hair loss solutions are generally more cost-effective than surgical hair restoration procedures. While the initial investment for a hair replacement system may seem significant, the overall cost is often lower than that of surgical treatments, which can require multiple sessions, medications, and follow-up appointments. Additionally, non-surgical solutions allow you to avoid potential complications and additional expenses related to surgery.
4. Low Maintenance and Flexibility
Another advantage of non-surgical hair loss solutions is that they are low maintenance and offer great flexibility. Hair replacement systems are designed to be easy to care for, allowing you to wash, style, and manage your new hair just as you would your natural hair. At New Image Consultants, we provide all the necessary tools and guidance to ensure your hair system stays looking its best. Plus, if you decide you want to change your hairstyle or try a different look, it’s easy to do so with a non-surgical solution.
5. Suitable for Various Hair Loss Conditions
Non-surgical hair loss solutions are versatile and suitable for a wide range of hair loss conditions. Whether you are experiencing male or female pattern baldness, thinning hair, or hair loss due to medical conditions such as alopecia, a hair replacement system can provide an effective and natural-looking solution. At New Image Consultants, our experts will assess your individual needs and recommend the best non-surgical treatment option for you.
Conclusion
Non-surgical hair loss solutions offer a practical and effective alternative for those looking to restore their hair without undergoing surgery. With minimally invasive and painless procedures, immediate results, and cost-effectiveness.

What are the causes of female hair loss?
Femail Hair loss can be categorized in to three different factors or reasons:
Androgenetic alopecia
This hair loss is one of the most common causes of hair loss in females. Therefore, it is also regarded by the terms female pattern hair loss. In this condition, you experience hair thinning in your frontal portion of the head and along the sides of your head.
Telogen effluvium
Telogen is an end phase when almost all hair follicles reach the telogen phase. The telogen phase is the last growth phase, and all the hair falls out at this stage. Telogen effluvium is a condition caused when you have an increased number of hair follicles that have reached the telogen phase.
Anagen effluvia
This condition arises from your hair follicles being affected by heavy medications or radiation, such as chemotherapy. For example, in patients with cancer, Anagen effluvium is a common condition because they undergo radiations and chemotherapy that poisons the growing hair follicles and causes the premature death of these follicles.
Who is more likely to experience a heavy hair loss?
- Any female, a girl or a woman, can be affected by heavy hair loss. However, this condition is more prominent in women who are aged 40+ and may have entered the menopausal stage of life;
- lactating mothers or mothers who have just had babies;
- women undergoing medications such as chemotherapy;
- Women who make use of harsh chemicals on their hair or use harsh hairstyles like tight ponytails;

How does non-surgical hair treatment work in male hair loss?
hair treatment work in male hairloss?
Male Hairloss or Balding is a growing concern among men. Many attribute this to genetics, while it can be caused due to stress and hormones in growing men. The hairline reduction is the first phase of the onset of male Baldness. Statistics suggest that more than 50 million men suffer from Male Baldness. However, with research and advancements in technology, the introduction of non-surgical hair treatment will end your worry about having a bald head. Hence, even though you lose your hair, there are remedies to help you restore your hair.
Myths about the treatment
Many believe that non-surgical hair treatment refers to a fancy name for adding a wig to cover your balding area. That is completely false, as non-surgical hair treatment for restoration is one of the most advanced hair restoration methods. You will learn more about non-surgical hair treatment in this article.
What is non-surgical hair treatment for hair restoration?
Firstly, scrap the idea that non-surgical hair treatment refers to wearing a wig. The technique used in non-surgical hair treatment work is quite subtle and makes the whole process natural and catered to customized needs.
The treatment will allow you to live your life comfortably and make it seem far more natural.
How does non-surgical Hair treatment work?
The procedure involves attaching a membrane with hair to your scalp that matches your natural hair’s direction, color, and density. The adhesive used is natural and strong with advanced bonding technology to attach the membrane to the scalp making it easier to go around your daily activities without any hassle.
Things to be done before undergoing the treatment.
This non-surgical hair treatment is done in a customized manner. Hence, it requires consultation to discuss the initial design that goes with your scalp. This is done by finding the ideal choice based on your hair properties like direction, color, and style. This takes around a couple of months.
That being said, you can avoid this step altogether and go with a pre-made product if you want to get the hair restoration done immediately. Therefore, it is evident that if you want to compromise on quality, the treatment can be done without consultation and go with the existing product.
After the consultation, two more steps are involved in completing the procedure. The first is deciding on the membrane material, and the second is the binding procedure.
Multiple membranes can be used to attach to the scalp. The three prominent ones used by non-surgical hair treatment practitioners are lace, polyurethane, and monofilament. Well, each of these materials is compatible with your scalp in a different way. Hence, the material of the membrane will depend on your scalp needs. For instance, if your scalp needs a breathable environment, then the monofilament material is the best option. Whereas polyurethane is practically invisible on your scalp, and lace is known to offer the most natural results. Adding to that, Lace material is often used when the male baldness area is higher and needs to cover more ground.
This is the last key element in the hair-restoration treatment. It involves the binding material to combine the membrane with the scalp. It uses the latest bonding technology with adhesives that are inert to your sweat or water. Hence, you can freely wash your hair and play sports without hassle. Sometimes, one needs to completely shave their hair to fit the scalp membrane.
Why should one opt for non-surgical hair treatment?
After the discussion, the question is, why would one prefer the non-surgical hair treatment to other treatments available for male baldness. Well, the answer to this is straightforward. Other treatments include Finasteride or Minoxidil to stimulate hair growth. However, these don’t work in many males due to multiple reasons. So, while this option doesn’t treat baldness, you can get results with the non-surgical hair treatment treatment from a medical point of view.
Well, there are other medical opinions as well at this point. For instance, one can also resort to surgery but keep it as a last resort. Obviously, not all patients are enthusiastic about getting surgical treatment as they find surgery as a last resort if it’s absolutely necessary. Apart from this, when you consider surgery for hair restoration, it utilizes your existing hair for the success of the surgery. Therefore, if you have a big bald spot, then surgery might not be the best option. Furthermore, while surgery works in some cases, and if your hair starts shedding, you might need to redo the surgery, and this might cause hairloss in the donor area. Hence, Is is considered that surgery is not a viable option and only a last resort if and when applicable.
Therefore, this treatment is the best option since it doesn’t disturb the existing environment of your hair. Male Hairloss Bonding can be resolved with the non-surgical hair treatment treatment without any consequences.
