THE NEW IMAGE STORY
Helping and guiding both men and women experiencing hair loss is so satisfying, and to see the life-changing appearance and emotional results has always remained so rewarding; those feelings and sentiments can also be said of my long-serving staff.
I was accidentally drawn into the world of hair replacement.
Refinements to the old-fashioned toupee and the means of attachment meant they were becoming more socially acceptable.
But I quickly found that the limited number of specialist providers at that time were more motivated by the “quick buck” rather than building lasting client relationships.
I wanted to provide quality services at affordable costs and build lasting relationships with clients, so I decided to take the plunge and open New Image Consultants.
With help from a relative, we worked through the 1992 Christmas and New Year break, opening at the beginning of January 1993, and I can confidently say I’ve never looked back.
Between 1993 and 1996, I purchased the client list from another local provider who was retiring and integrated their clients into New Image.
Then the big breakthrough… 1997, a totally new concept “THR” (Trans-dermal Hair Restoration) was developed in America, and we were fortunate enough to secure the licence and rights for the North of England. Some two years later, we purchased the Licensee for London and the South.
THR was virtually undetectable to sight and touch; it was so different from the old wigs and toupees, and over the years, the product range has been refined and expanded.
These days, “THR” is better known as “Hair Systems,” which are copies of the original concept, but no other providers have our length of knowledge, experience, and expertise.
After ten years commuting between clinics, it became too much, and we sold London, but it’s remained one of our close affiliates, which are also based in Perth, Glasgow, Manchester, and Dublin.
I’ve been very fortunate with my three loyal and long-serving technicians and would also like to mention Vicky, our receptionist, who is, of course, your first point of contact.
Sue has been with me from day one. She came to America with me for the THR training, and these days she conducts consultations. You’ll find her knowledge and expertise invaluable, and she really puts you at ease.
Sara joined us in 2001 and quickly built a strong following of clients.
In February 2004, we again acquired another local provider, which resulted in Gill joining the team. To this day, she continues to look after many of the clients who came with her from that merger, but she also has many new regular clients who have joined us in the subsequent years.
Collectively, we provide a pool of knowledge and a warm, welcoming environment for anyone experiencing hair loss and seeking help and advice. Our mission is to rebuild the confidence and appearance you seek so you can once again face the world with newfound self-esteem. Contact us if you want to learn more about this.
You’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain, so why not book an appointment now?
